Heart of Racing
A US-based sports car racing team that is dedicated to winning on the track and winning for the kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Heart of Racing was founded by Don Kitch and his wife Donna who founded the Team Seattle ‘Racing for Children’ guild. Since 1997, the factory Porsche team has raised more than $5 million for pediatric cardiac care in Seattle.
The former Haas F1 Team star is a member of Global Racing Group’s Sporting Advisory Board. A highly-decorated driver as he came through the junior motorsport ranks, Romain graduated to Formula One in 2012 with the Lotus F1 Team and his impressive speed and consistency has helped him to achieve ten podiums – two of which have been career-best second-place finishes at the Canadian GP and the United States GP.
DirtFish is the most prestigious rally school in North America and has a proven track record in teaching its pupils how to drive on any surface, at any time and in any weather conditions. The experienced DirtFish instructors teach the art of car control in a way that builds confidence yet encourages pupils to take responsibility and be safe behind the wheel.
HMD Motorsports joined the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires in 2017 and quickly made their mark as a front running team. Over the course of the past three seasons, the team has racked up numerous race wins, podiums, pole positions and track records across the three RTI ladder programs.
Halfway through the 2019 season, HMD Motorsports began a complete team overhaul, beginning with a team name change from BN Racing to HMD Motorsports. The team also moved their shop to the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Continuing to round out their crew, HMD Motorsports has brought on several highly experienced personal, including team engineers Yancy Diotalevi, Nathan Toney and Mark Weida. Retiring their USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 entries, HMD Motorsports turned their focus towards the upper tier of the Road to Indy Ladder Program. Looking to have a minimum of three Indy Lights entries in the 2020 season, the team decided to partake in the FR Americas program in 2020 after the cancellation of the Indy Lights season.
Partnering with Global Racing Group for the 2021 season, the pair of teams have built a very strong four driver lineup to compete for the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship.
