Currently sitting second and sixth in the Indy Lights Championship Presented by Cooper Tires point standings, Global Racing Group (GRG) with HMD Motorsports drivers will descend on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this weekend. Ready to take on rounds five and six of the 2021 championship, Linus Lundqvist and Benjamin Pedersen will be aiming for the top step of the podium in Indy.

With one win and four podiums between the pair of GRG drivers in only four races, the two drivers will battle the famed IMS road course in the motorsports capital of the world. A Promoters Test Day on Thursday will allow the series rookies to get up to speed as a pair of forty-five-minute sessions in the morning will lead into the one and only official practice that afternoon. With another jam-packed weekend that will feature the complete Road to Indy program and NTT IndyCar Series, Lundqvist and Pedersen will take part in two qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday morning prior to the wheel-to-wheel action that will commence in each of the afternoons.

“It has been a good start to the season but now with a few weeks off, we are anxious to get back to Indy,” expressed Christian Pedersen. “We have been pushing hard to be the best program in the paddock and I believe that with HMD Motorsports, we have done just that. As the current leader in the Team Championship standings and sitting first, second and sixth in the Drivers’ Championship, we are hoping to add to our point totals this coming weekend.”

Coverage of practice and qualifying, produced by Road to Indy TV, will be available throughout the weekend, live streamed on the Road to Indy TV App, on RoadToIndy.TV and its social media platforms and on IndyLights.com. Coverage of the races will be available live through Peacock Premium inside the United States, REV TV in Canada and through Road to Indy TV in all other countries.
